Coverage

This concealer is a lightweight but full coverage concealer which is exactly what it claims to provide. The colour ranges from pale to deep skin tones although some shades in between are limited there is still a good shade range, 18 shades in fact. Some have a pink undertone, yellow, neutral and warm undertones, so swatch to check which one will suit you best. This concealer is great for layering it up without looking caked, even with a thin layer it provides a good coverage.

Application

I have found that the best application for this concealer is with a beauty blender as it evens out the product well to give it a flawless finish. Personally, I always use a beauty blender for all my concealers under the eyes because I feel it gives the most effortless finish. You can also use a makeup brush if you want to achieve a fuller look or layer it up with a beauty blender to get that full coverage look. It comes with a large doe foot applicator which makes the application super easy and convenient. This makes it easier to put it wherever you like especially if you are using it to contour.

This concealer also claims to be a matte finish which does not settle in fine lines but I believe it to be more of a satin finish which can settle in fine lines if not set correctly. I set this with loose setting powder. I generally always use full coverage matte concealers under the eyes because it always creases on my skin otherwise. I have used this concealer on a few different skin types and on some it does not need to be set or baked, however on me it does.

Lasting power

When I wear this concealer it holds up for up to 6 hours before it starts creasing on me. So for a long long day it won’t do the job for me, unfortunately, but I still use it because it covers my bags and holds up for a decent amount of time. Using this concealer on others with normal/dry skin it has held up for a longer amount of time, meaning the lasting power is based on the skin type and how it is set.

Verdict

It’s a yes from me even if it’s not for long wear. 6 hours wear is a decent amount of wear for a good coverage concealer. It costs a bargain so why not, it’s £4 that I did not regret spending! Grab yours at superdrug if you are living in the UK.
