Liquid Highlighter – Nip + Fab Review

Product Description

Packaging

The liquid highlighter comes in a frosted glass with rubber dropper which is great for the formulation of the product. I love the glass feel, its heavy and feels like a luxury product. I love the rubber dropper as it gives more precision, hygienic and is also less messy.

Application

This liquid highlighter applies smoothly when applied to the skin. I have found that the best application for this liquid highlight is with a beauty blender or finger as it applies evenly on the skin. I have noticed when using a brush it can appear patchy. My personal preference is to use a beauty blender.

There are two ways which I like to apply this.

  1. To apply it straight to the areas you would like to highlight.
  2. Mix it with your foundation.

Finish

The formula sets fairly quickly which means it is best to apply it in sections. It dries from a wet to satin finish. It looks super natural on the skin which is buildable for intensity. The formula sits well with all skin types. The two colours I purchased were Rose Gold and White Gold, both suit fair-medium skin tones, I do think the Rose Gold could have been deeper in colour.

Benefits

  • Lightweight.
  • Good consistency for application.
  • Useful applicator.
  • Buildable intensity.
  • You can wear this alone or under/over makeup.
  • Suitable for all skin types.
  • Gives you a glow without looking greasy.

Lasting power

This liquid highlighter is suitable to last more than 8 hours. I have never used any setting sprays with this as I have never needed to. It does not break up on your face when on the skin. It works well alone and when set with highlight powder.

Verdict

Highly recommended this if you are looking for a liquid highlighter, it is not chunky and not an expensive option in comparison to other similar items which are currently available. It is recommended for all skin types for both makeup and non-makeup days. For £12.95 it really is worth it considering most high-end liquid highlighters are over £25.
