Huda Beauty Liquid Matte Review

New Product Alert

Launch date: 29 July 2016 at Sephora in the UAE and 15 August 2016 at Harrods in the UK

So I tried to put myself on a ban for more liquid lipsticks because I have too many but then the Huda Beauty Liquid Mattes released. I had heard so many good things about these even before they launched and from the first week of its launch in Dubai from my  friends there and also on Instagram. I knew that I needed to get my hands on the liquid mattes especially after trying and religiously using the Huda Beauty Lip Contours, I could not wait to try and test it. So here goes my review on the new Huda Beauty Liquid Mattes!

Product Description

Introducing Huda Beauty’s latest lip beautifier: the Liquid Matte, an unrivaled take on the liquid lipstick. The tried and true comfort-wear formula is infused with an exclusive complex to help maintain the lips’ hydration. The lightweight formula glides on a thin coat of color that intensifies as it sets to a matte, transfer-free finish with amazing staying power. You might even forget you’re wearing anything on your lips at all! Pair it with a complementary Huda Beauty Lip Contour to set off your look.

Packaging

This liquid matte lipstick comes in a cuboid shape, the lid is plain black and the rest of it is semi see through with the company label. The lip applicator sponge is long and rounded on the edges which allows you to create a good lip shape. I love the outer packaging and the way it is placed inside the packaging, so that gives the appearance of being in between the lips on the outside packaging. You can check this out in the video below.

Finish

It has a matte finish that is not sticky and feels super light on the lips. It is super long wearing and will last all day!

Lasting power

Long wearing but mine did fade in the center whilst eating so you will have to reapply it. Generally, it lasts for over 10 hours which is perfect for the days you don’t want to touch up.

Cost effective

Yes, it is worth the money because you only need a thin layer so a little goes a long way therefore it you don’t need to reapply unless after oily meals. Also because it is the best formula that is currently available.

Cons

  • It is not cheap.
  • You will have to remove this product thoroughly for it to come off.
  • Hard to purchase once they go out of stock.
  • Not available worldwide.

Recommended colours

Spice Girl, Flirt, Trendsetter, Icon, Trophy Wife, Material Girl, Famous, Heartbreaker.

Verdict

I recommend this to those who are looking for a long lasting yet hydrating lip product with a matte finish. Matte lovers will love this. This is by far the best liquid lipstick that I have come across and I am glad that I did. These are best used with the Huda Beauty Lip Contours but you can also use normal lip liners.
