This was a product that I had been following for a long time even whilst in production. I had heard Huda and her team talk about it for about a year or so before it’s release. So being a Fan of Huda Beauty products naturally I knew I had to get my hands on this. When it first released in the UAE I was not able to purchase it and when it released on Cult Beauty I had changed my mind, there were mixed reviews on the palette by then. Due to me purchasing several other palettes recently I thought l would leave it. This obviously changed when the palette launched at Harrods, London. My lovely sister in law asked me to get it for her from abroad but I knew it was launching in Harrods in two days time so I let her know she could get it from there. So I left it to fate and said to her if it is in stock she should get me one.
So here I am with the palette. The palette itself looks so pretty and all of the colours that are in it are 100% wearable, well except the neon pink but I’m sure I’ll find a use for it.
Purchased: October 2016
Product Description
“I literally dreamt about the colors in this palette, and it’s finally come to life!” Beauty guru and entrepreneur Huda Kattan blends her makeup expertise and obsession all in her debut eyeshadow palette. Raising the bar with her unique Textured Shadows, she’s created a palette of highly saturated mattes, chrome pressed pearls, and 3D metal shadows. Talc-free and buildable, the colors deliver maximum payoff for easy on-the-go, or came-to-slay metallic and smoky looks. Consider it a complete wardrobe for your eyes, no matter what the mood or occasion. An ode to Huda’s favorite metallic, the sophisticated Rose Gold, this timeless collection will be your new can’t-live-without palette.
Packaging
This comes in a cardboard packaging with the shadows in a small tin, the lid is not very sturdy, the palette lid is made out of a thin plastic. Sadly I am not very impressed with the durability of the overall packaging, however, I do love the outer packaging with her signature eyes. Priced at £56 the packaging could have been better.
Benefits
- Contains 18 different shades.
- All of the shades are wearable.
- Most shades are highly pigmented.
- Amazing range warm tones as well as a few cool tone shades.
- A range of Matte, Shimmer and Textured shadow.
- Very easy to blend.
- Long lasting.
- Lightweight packaging
- Would definitely be a palette to take on holiday as it contains a good range of colours.
Finish
Matte: Most have very dense pigmentation, this requires a light hand when applying straight onto the eyelid. When they are swatched on the arm they look less pigmented but when applied with a brush on the eyes they go on so well and blend very easily. For best results apply with a brush.
Shimmer: I am in love with the texture of these, they glide on and blend perfectly. The shimmer pigment in these are very high and a little definitely goes a long way. For best results apply with a brush.
Textured: Very creamy, bendable and stick on to the eyelid amazingly. The glitter in these shadows are very noticeable but subtle at the same time. For best results apply with your fingers and not a brush.

Lasting power
Roughly around 8 hours.
Cost effective
No, it is a great palette but I do think there are other palettes with similar results for a more affordable price. However, this does not include the textured shadows range.
Cons
- Not all shades are high in pigment.
- The textured shadows are hard to apply with a brush.
- Hard to get precision with the textured shadows.
- Textured shadows give a wrinkle effect on the eye lid, so it is not suitable for mature skin.
- Packaging is not durable.
- Limited Edition.
- Hard to purchase as it is always low in stock.
Recommended colours
Bossy, Henna, Sandlewood, Coco, Angelic, Moon Dust and all of the textured shadows.
Verdict
I recommend this to those who are looking for a mixed texture shadow palette and those who are not on a budget, it is a great palette which can create many different looks and I can see this as one of my go to palettes. It would be a perfect palette to take on holiday.
